Web 2.0 is no longer just about surfing and passively reading or watching – it has evolved into a new dynamic form of community and creative expression, one of sharing, socializing, collaborating and creating communities.
The Real Estate CyberSpace Society, always on the lookout for new technologies, has added Real Estate Wiki to its popular 25 Top E-Tools Section at www.REcyber.com
This new wiki produced by real estate visionary Stefan Swanepoel is the combined effort of many real estate professionals who have produced over 3,000 definitions for real estate terms, almost 1,000 answers to frequently asked questions about home buying, selling and financing questions, a list of over 500 real estate acronyms, over 400 bio’s of prominent real estate leaders, authors, over 600 real estate brokerage companies and details of some 800 real estate associations, institutes, councils, designations, courses, blogs, social networks and publications.
During its first 100 days after launch Real Estate Wiki has doubled in size, rocketing to over 14,000 entries. And it makes perfect sense…
According to Don Tapscott and Anthony Williams in their book Wikinomics, participation and collaboration on the Web has reached a tipping point where, new forms of mass collaboration are changing how goods and services and invented, produced, marketed, and distributed on a global basis. The RealEstateWiki is an excellent example of exactly that.
