Real Estate CyberSpace Radio (RECR) today released excerpts from their October briefings. In three interviews, Jim Gillespie, Joeann Fossland and Troy Allen share tested strategies for real estate professionals to use in building their real estate business and for protecting their business and personal interests.

In the lead briefing, Dr. Jim Gillepsie, America's Premier Real Estate Coach ®, discusses the essential link between his two fields of practice, real estate and psychology-that is, "what is going on in the minds and emotions of the top producers that is clearly setting them apart from the pack." He advises listeners on how NLP techniques (neurolinguistic programming) and other aspects of psychology can be used in marketing to enhance rapport with prospects and clients. "When you get very good at this, it's amazing the influence you can have with people." Gillespie cuts right through the science to practical applications that make sense for agents' everyday contacts, including the use of several tools available without cost to members of the Real Estate CyberSpace Society. He provides tips for improving web site content, email messages and face-to-face conversations with people. Gillespie mentions sources for learning more about NLP as well as his favorite general online sites. He also looks at the future to identify some trends on the horizon that will impact the delivery of real estate services.

The second interview with international real estate coach and speaker Joeann Fossland focuses on the FSBO market-"For Sale By Owner" or "Frustrated Sellers Batting Zero" as she prefers to define the term. She emphasizes why this market is important for all agents to understand and how technology can be harnessed to work FSBOs for business advantage. Her advice underscores the theme of the importance of relationships. "Always remember with technology that it's not going to supplant relationship building. In many ways, it gives us more ways of building that relationship." Fossland outlines specific steps for developing a FSBO niche that include a combination of technological and personal techniques. She cites a number of online services and a favorite tech tool useful for agents, and she gives details about her own coaching program, the FSBO Game. Fossland is also clear about how agents can differentiate themselves in responding to inquiries and about the most important action a real estate pro can take toward overall success.

In the wrap-up briefing, Troy Allen, vice president of the Fraud Solutions Group at Kroll Background America, addresses the growing problem of identity theft and gives the background for the latest Real Estate CyberSpace Society member service-Identisafe Identity Theft Insurance. In debunking the myths surrounding the crime, Allen explains what true identity theft is, how it is commonly perpetrated and why it is so difficult to avoid. Allen sums up the complicated issues and time-consuming tasks facing victims in restoring their identity. Beyond the financial consequences, the frustration involved can be devastating. His best advice to listeners for protecting against identity theft is to "get involved with a reputable organization that can help with the defensive process for you and do the back end restoration work if you get victimized." The Real Estate CyberSpace Society's collaboration with Identisafe makes that tactic easy and affordable for members.
