Geospatial Information & Technology Association to Hold Annual Convention and Exposition Completely On-Line

The Geospatial Information & Technology Association will lead the nation as one of the first Associations to conduct its annual Convention virtually on line. The Association's members will gather virtually to attend sessions presented by the eight-featured speakers and visit the convention Exposition where companies who supply members of the Association with tools and services will reach the largest gathering of Association members to attend any single Association event. The opening session will feature nationally recognized experts: Karen Ball, Jack Dangemond, Pat W. Drinnan, and Stan P. Weber.

The virtual nature of the Convention will allow members to attend any time from the opening day on October 1st until the Convention wrap up on December 31st. A fresh new lineup of speakers will be announced for the Second Session, which will premier on November 15th.

J. Peter Gomez, President of the Geospatial Information & Technology Association explained that the convention will also feature the products and services Exposition. Attendees will visit the On-Line Expo to view and purchase products and services of interest. The Expo will have special navigation and with a simple click attendees will be at the booth of their choice! Booths will be open 24 hours a day during the event. Attendees will be able to visit the expo as often as they would like without cost.

Gomez added that the convention is being produced in cooperation with the Real Estate CyberSpace Society www.REcyber.com an international real estate organization with members in 28 countries. Society Executive Director, John M. Peckham III said, "GITA is leading the way nationally by bringing this opportunity to its members. The On-line Convention will provide members all of the excitement and features of a "hard floor" convention. Attendees will learn from top-notch nationally recognized speakers and see the latest products and services at the On-Line Expo". Peckham concluded, "The only thing missing will be lost shoe leather, aching muscles, registration fees - and time away from home!"
