Derek Olsen serves as Director of O'Connell Hospitality Group, a real estate advisory firm specializing in national hotel and resort transactions. Derek is a recent graduate of MIT's Center of Real Estate in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he co-authored Reintermediation or Disintermediation? The Impact of E-commerce on Commercial Real Estate Brokerage. Prior to attending MIT, he served as a consultant to the hospitality and resort industry, most recently as vice president of HVS International. He is also a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Management. Throughout his professional and academic endeavors, Derek has been especially interested in the practical and productive applications of technology.
