Sometime count the mouse clicks you make in a day. Multiply that by365. That's a lot of clicks. This neat little program will simplify your daily work significantly. You'll save dozens of your current extra clicks by avoiding lots of detours.

For example, usually to copy some text on to Notepad you'd highlight the text, copy it to the clipboard, open Notepad, place your cursor in Notepad, and paste.

With this little gem you simply highlight the text and copy. When you do that the icons for your favorite programs pop up and you simply click your choice - and, Shazam - your copy appears pasted neatly into your program.

It's magic - and it's yours for the asking.

Google keeps coming up with neat stuff. Now they have released their new emergency alerting platform -- Google Public Alerts.

Public Alerts is designed to display relevant emergency alerts to people who are searching for them on the web. These alerts cover weather, public safety, and earthquake alerts issued by US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Weather Service, and the US Geological Survey (USGS). The alerts are visually displayed on a Google Maps interface. You can drill deeper into the alerts through links to the originating site.

No charge. It's compliments of Google and could save your life.

If you'd like one of the amenities of a fancy hotel, right at home, you'll probably like this neat on-line service. For years while traveling, we've all called and asked the operator to wake us at 6:00AM (or whenever). This has been one of the nice little amenities that the hotel folks offer to keep us happy.

Now you can easily do the same from your home. Simply go to this great place - insert you phone number and the time you wish a call. That's it. You'll receive your wake-up call right on schedule.

It's even better than a hotel -- it's free!

Remember the hassle the last time you needed a dent repaired. You know the routine - drive around to 3 body shops - wait around in a grubby reception area - get a grease covered estimate - and then start all over at the next shop.

How things have changed. Now get your estimates from the comfort of your desk. Just take a picture or two of the damage to be repaired, upload the photos with the damage report and click "Request Bids". You'll receive your bids by e-mail within 24 Hours.

Who said the old days were better?
